I love this sweet family. Cait is one of my best friend's and one of my hero's in life. She balances life as a mom with four boys, while owning a business and dealing with the every day hardships of type 1 diabetes. She and her husband are some of the most organized people I know! They are solid people, and I'm grateful to know them!
Monkey see, monkey do. Love that little brother follows big brother's every move!
Hiding from me! I love the perspective of this shot. And that it looks like these two brothers are up to something naughty.
I love how adored this baby brother is! He is nothing but pure joy.
Before starting an in-home shoot, I will email my client a brief survey of what they'd like to be captured. This momma wanted to capture the family prayer. I died watching her #3 during the prayer.
Reverence doesn't last long with any kids! Boys will be boys, a lot of wrestling in this house!
Cait's family does a family cheer every morning.
Cait's diabetes is huge part of her life. Documenting real life is what this is all about! Her kids were so funny about getting a finger prick and checking their sugars, too. This lady is a warrior mom to fight with this disease every day!
In the end I have to tell you. Cait and Andrew are some of the most organized, clean people I've ever met! Their home reflects their beautiful style, and taste. However, not all homes are this airy and beautiful, and I get that. I don't want anyone to look at these photos and think, my home isn't as pretty as hers and therefore my photos will not be as pretty. Boo. Lies to yourself! Your home can be as messy or as clean as you like! My home on the other hand would have a lot more dirty faces and ketchup stains. Also, the light in my home is not as airy and light, and would shoot a bit more "moody," I love shadows just as much as I love crisp airy light! I'm not trying to photograph the beauty of the home, but the beauty of the love that resides in it! Have a happy day everyone! Now go and love on your babies.
